6e553a314f5d7cc674f486c0e64e1c1e_originalHello everyone and I promise this will be the last new post on Fox n Forests as the announcement of whether it has been funded or not will be done via an update to this/or/and the previous article I
wrote on it. Continue reading “Last Minute Reminder – Fox n Forests Kickstarter”

And Now For Another Kickstarter Promotion

6e553a314f5d7cc674f486c0e64e1c1e_original.pngIt appears my WordPress career has taken a bit of turn of late from “serious” reviewer to game flogger. Well its that time again because, after getting a tip from the awesome YouTube channel Indieformer I have been led to another game that I will tell you about, leaving it up to you whether you back the game or not because, you know, money doesn’t
grow on trees, no matter how many pennies we plant in the ground. Continue reading “And Now For Another Kickstarter Promotion”

Lion Quest – Back to the Games of Yore Go I!

Well hello there. It’s been awfully quiet hasn’t it? I bet you’re as surprised to see me here as I am. A lot seems to have gone on since I last was on here flogging Kickstarter games to my fanatic chroniclers. Lets have a little recap shall we? Brexit happened which meant I had to be sedated lest my pro-European rage engulf the entire world in a fiery vortex that none would survive; England got knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland giving my handlers the perfect excuse to bring me out of my induced coma so I could lord it over headerthe English, and Pokémon Go has swept the globe, aside from UK since we haven’t (officially) got it yet. Which bring us up to now where I have had the pleasure of playing a game created by fellow blogger extraordinaire (warning: The Chronic Chronicler may be exaggerating his extraordinaire- iness) Dracula’s Cave simply named Lion Quest.

Another Bout of Unsolicited Kickstarter Shout-outs

Hello again everyone and, although I said last time I wouldn’t be using this blog as a Kickstarter plugging page, I’ve seen a couple of games that I feel deserve a little promotion from yours truly and can hopefully assist in whatever small way in helping them reaching their funding goals.

Game One: In the Shadows

in-the-shadows-game-teaser.mp4First up we have In the Shadows, a puzzle platformer made by Colorspace Studio where we control a man undergoing some sort of psychotherapy where he must travel back to his childhood, using light to transform the dark shadows through a variety of puzzles so that he can recover his past memories and make sense of his life.

Ratchet & Clank (2016) – The Obligatory Reboot

Ratchet_and_Clank_coverLooking back at my Ratchet & Clank review I made two years ago where I, with a great amount of hubris, promised to review all my Ratchet & Clank games (never happened) and I also urged you to get the revamped version of the classic for the PS4. Well the game has been out for a little over two weeks and, while the film has performed about as well as a outdoor barbecue in a hurricane (though I will still watch it if I get the chance), my hopes have been riding on the game being the anchor that successfully secures the franchises place in the new generation.

Tearaway Unfolded – A Personally Crafted Experience

81BMqKqbJKL._SL1500_Sometimes come out of nowhere and burrow themselves into your brain, constantly pressing itself against your hippocampus so that you constantly think about until you finally break down in tears and rush to the nearest shop/computer and buy it to stop the incessant nagging on your cranial lobes. Tearaway Unfolded is one such game and, just to get my bias out of the way right now before people accusing me of it, yes I am reviewing Rex Crowle’s game after hyping up his Kickstarter game Knights and Bikes, but so what?!

Sonic Generations – Gotta Go Fast to the Past

SonicGenerationsSonic puts me in mind of a weird game of Russian Roulette. I see in my mind the Sonic fandom passing round a hedgehog shaped chalice, where the next fan takes a deep drink and then falls on the floor, violently retching and vomiting rings before the next fan step over the convulsing wreck, wipes off the chill dog chunks still clinging to the goblet, then quickly taking in that special brew in the hopes of a taste of the sweeter days of yore.
