Reviews I Forgot to Do: Treasure Planet

imagesWhen did I start writing this?: 21st June 2014, pretty much as soon as I had finished my Titan A.E. review.

What was I writing it for?: I’d intended Treasure Planet to be a follow-up piece to the wasted film that was Titan A.E. I wanted to show how a film, similarly premised on space exploration, although with different goals, could be not only good, but so good that it warrants multiple viewings and pestering friends to watch it.

Reviews I Forgot to Do: The Red House Mystery

It certainly is a rediscovered classic, surprised it’s taken me this long to know about it.

When did I start writing this?: Sometime in May 2014. I used to know the exact date, but Past Me threw that piece of paper away so Present Me now has no idea.

What was I writing it for?: I had just finished it as part of my 50 Books in a Year Challenge and thought it would be a good addition to my so far lacklustre book review section.

I was going to do this as a look at the first films the stars of the Harry Potter franchise, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, starred in after the world of wands and wizards ended.

A month where films that cause breath to thin and skin to shudder to claw their way out of the ground, grab our ankles and drag us down to their abyss of bile and gunge. So can anyone explain why Big Hero 6 is being released in the UK in January?

My Plan for 2015

Hello there! I hope you’ve been enjoying the New Year so far, getting over hangovers, feeling that extra bit of flab develop round your belly, already breaking your New Year’s Resolution.

Well here at The Chronic Chronicler, I have my own resolution. My resolution this year is to not have any form of hiatus that has plagued me sine this blog’s inception. A tough challenge I know, but I have a way to help me keep posting.

Mirror’s Edge – On the Brink of Something

headerMirror’s Edge seems to be one of those games that I spent so much time umming and ahhing over whether to buy I’m surprised my bones hadn’t turned to dust. You’d hear someone talking it up like a new religion or fad diet and then you’d get another person, almost always two metres away from you who would should quite loudly that it was about as enjoyable as listening to Rebecca Black’s Friday on repeat for ten hours. So fairly mixed reviews then.
